Description: Lyretail Anthias are the perfect schooling fish for reef aquaria. They can be put in groups, but in a ratio of 1 male to multiple females. Squamipinnis Anthias are sexually dimorphic, as their gender can be told apart by their differing coloration. Males are bright red to pink in color, while females are bright orange. They are one fish for the intermediate aquarist as these fish have a higher metabolism, due to constant swimming. We recommend to feed these fish two to three times a day with foods high in fat and protein. They are reef safe, but can become territorial once established.
